Kalea's Christmas Wish
Kalea's Christmas wish to find a cure for her sister who has Cystic Fibrosis, sends her on an adventure throughout Canada where she meets friends of all kinds, and learns the real magic of giving.
I hope this message finds you all in good health and the company of those you love (in person or virtually) for the holiday season!
It's hard to believe this year we've lived, 2020 will go down in the history books. On the topic of books, it seemed like a great year to write about this wonderful discovery of Trikafta and share my story with you.
Channeling all my energy, normally spent running hills and valleys, I held my paintbrush, typed away and managed to put together something special that once was my very own Christmas wish.
I recall writing a letter to Saint Nick when I was 6 years old asking if he could deliver a cure for Cystic Fibrosis. That letter made it into our local newspaper, and it's hard to believe 26 years later, my wish was answered!
I wanted to end this year on a positive note, so I'm bringing you on a journey with me along the Trans Canada Trail! With a blend of adventure, a quest for the cure, the magic of nature, amazing friends and some holiday cheer, this story is filled with hope and invites you to take a moment and celebrate what is possible.
Please read it with your children or grandchildren before they get tucked in and anxiously await Santa's arrival tonight!
