Let the adventure begin!

Over the next several years I will be embarking on a lifelong dream - a human powered journey across the Trans Canada Trail, spanning 24,000 kms in memory of my sister Lindsay, inspired by the work of my Canadian hero Terry Fox.
May 28, 2019 was the first leg of the journey, ran 250 km from Mile 0 - Clover Point, Victoria to Duke Point, Naniamo. July 21, paddled the Salish Sea, added 120 km further along the trail. Landed on the mainland July 26, laced up the shoes and continued north to Whistler for another 60 km. August 25, cycled from Stanley Park, Vancouver to Princeton, spanned 400 km through pathways, parks and peaks that were a great test for the body and mind! July 1, 2020 back at it again, crossed the prairies on two wheels through the land of the living skies where my life began.
As an athlete, teacher and international travel guide, I am uniting the Trans Canada Trail's peaks and valleys to unify the heartbeat of humanity through nature. In an effort to give back to a community that deeply impacted me, I will be fundraising for Cystic Fibrosis research along the way. Inspiration I gain fro the project will be used to create resources about Forest Aid, a collection of medicinal and edible plants along the trail, a book will be created soon!
On two feet, two wheels and water vessels, the journey has begun across my homeland. Following through on a promise made many years ago to my sister Lindsay, who lost her battle to Cystic Fibrosis> I hope to create awareness of CF and help other families in similar situations. With a strong body and clear vision this idea has become my reality.

In total I have covered nearly 1,700 km's! With the first strides and strokes accounted for, only 22,300 km remain! Fundraised $8,900 thanks incredibly supportive friends and family who believe in the power of a dream!

If you would like to make a donation to my expedition your support would be greatly appreciated! Your donation will go directly towards Cystic Fibrosis research and enhance the quality of life for those in need. Click below to donate to my event on the National CF website :

If you enjoy running, cycling or have a close connection to Cystic Fibrosis please reach out - I would love to hear your story. If I can demonstration the determination learned from Lindsay, the sky is the limit.
Follow along my journey via Facebook and Instagram. I will be updating the route, sharing photos and videos about the experiences from a trails eye view. Next leg starting up September 2020, as I cycle from Princeton, BC north.
Endless gratitude to friends and family near and far for your support. May this journey be a reminder of where potential lies. Lets come together and unify the heart beat of humanity!
